FAQ

Answers to Frequently Asked Questions

1. What is in-home care?

In-home care includes a broad range of non-medical support services that help individuals remain comfortably at home while aging, recovering from illness or injury, or managing long-term conditions. Services may include personal care assistance (bathing, grooming, toileting), meal preparation, errands and transportation, and light housekeeping.

2. How are your caregivers chosen?

Our caregivers are hired as employees and go through an extensive screening process. This includes background checks, reference verification, and skills evaluations. Every caregiver is fully bonded, insured, and trained before working with any client.

3. Do I need approval from my doctor to start care?

No. Services provided by companions, homemakers, and personal care aides do not require a physician’s authorization.

4. How do you pair caregivers with clients?

We collect detailed information through an intake form covering care needs, preferences, schedules, and home environment. Using this, we match clients with caregivers based on personality, gender preference, experience, language abilities, certifications, and availability to ensure a comfortable and compatible fit.

5. What types of in-home care do you provide?

We offer a wide selection of services, including personal care, companion care, dementia and Alzheimer’s support, homemaker services, and live-in assistance.

6. What does live-in care involve?

Live-in care means a caregiver stays in the home to provide ongoing supervision, companionship, and hands-on support throughout the day and night.

7. What does “aging in place” mean?

Aging in place refers to an individual choosing to remain in their home as they grow older instead of moving to a facility. This option provides familiarity, continuity, emotional comfort, and may be more cost-effective for many seniors.

8. What are ADLs and IADLs?

ADLs are essential self-care tasks such as dressing, eating, bathing, toileting, and mobility. IADLs are daily living activities that support independence, like grocery shopping, managing finances, household chores, transportation, and meal planning.

9. Do caregivers assist with medication needs?

Caregivers can remind clients to take their medications, but they cannot administer doses or handle prescription management.

10. How quickly can services begin?

In most cases, care can begin the same day you contact us. Availability may vary by area, but our team is here 24/7 to assist with scheduling and service arrangements.
