It’s officially the New Year! And with the New Year, comes resolutions! But sometimes, resolutions are hard to stick to and it can be discouraging if you don’t accomplish them. So this year, instead of resolutions, set goals!
- Set your goal (or goals)!
It could be losing weight, eating healthier, getting more exercise, etc…
- Break your goal into manageable parts.
If your goal is to lose weight, it will be much easier to lose 5 pounds in a month than 20 pounds in no specific amount of time. This way, you will be less likely to get discouraged if you don’t lose all the weight all at once.
- Plan the steps you need to take to reach your goal.
Regardless of what your goal is, you will need to know what steps you need to take in order to achieve it. If you are planning on eating healthier, you will need to plan to buy healthier foods, and maybe even learn some new recipes.
- You don’t have to do it alone!
Why not join a group of people who have similar goals? If there are no groups near you, start your own! This is a great way to stay encouraged by encouraging each other!
Let 2016 be the year of no resolutions! Instead, set your goals and achieve them!
