Santiago Perez
Owner of Executive Home Care of Southwest Broward County, FL
Executive Home Care of Southwest Broward County, FL is locally owned and operated by Santiago Perez.
I’ve called Broward County and Florida home for over eight years, where I live with my wife, Mónica and our two sons, Juan Esteban (22) and Maria Camila (16). After more than 25 years in the corporate world, working across various management roles in Process Excellence, Quality and Customer Experience, I reached a point where I wanted to make a more direct and meaningful impact on my community. This led me to explore new opportunities focused on bringing wellness and comfort to others in a more tangible, personal way.
When I discovered Executive Home Care, a company dedicated to providing compassionate, reliable personal and companion care for seniors and individuals with disabilities, I knew I had found my true calling. Moreover, its mission of enhancing safety, independence, and quality of life for its clients from the comfort of their homes resonated deeply with me, and I saw it as the perfect way to fulfill my purpose.
On a personal note, I am blessed to share in the care of my 98-year-old grandmother, who is supported by my aunt in the comfort of their home. This experience has reinforced my understanding of how important it is to bring safety, dignity, and peace of mind not only to the person receiving care but also to the family caregivers who provide that support. I’ve witnessed firsthand the value of respite and the importance of a holistic approach to caregiving.
Today, at Executive Home Care of Southwest Broward County, we proudly offer a range of services designed to bring peace, comfort, and wellbeing to families and their loved ones, from a few hours of companionship to around-the-clock home care. Each caregiver undergoes a thorough background check and extensive training to ensure the highest standards of compassionate care, while adhering to both State and Federal requirements. We are honored to serve our community and make a meaningful difference in the lives of those we care for.
Amy Governale
RN Administrator of Executive Home Care of Southwest Broward County, FL
My name is Amy Governale. I’m originally from Bergen County, New Jersey, and have proudly called Florida home since 1982.
My journey in healthcare began at age 14 when I volunteered at a hospital Candy Striper. While in high school, I attended a vocational program in the evenings and became a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA). I gained valuable experience working in nursing homes and private residences, caring for patients across various age groups.
In 1982, following the passing of my mother from breast cancer, I relocated to South Florida. Inspired to make a difference, I enrolled in nursing school and graduated from McFatter Technical College in Davie, Florida, in 1988 as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). I later pursued and earned my Registered Nurse (RN) degree from Med-Life Institute. I also studied abroad in Nassau, Bahamas, where I worked at Princess Margaret Hospital and learned about universal healthcare practices.
Over the years, I’ve worked in several hospitals throughout Broward County and Miami Beach. My specialties have included Cardiac ICU, Emergency Room, Geriatrics, Behavioral Health, and care for patients with Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, and orthopedic conditions.
In 2012, I shifted my focus exclusively to home health and home care. Since then, I’ve served as a Case Manager, Assistant Director of Nursing, and Chief Nursing Officer/Administrator.
I’ve been married to my husband, Rocky, for 35 years, and we enjoy traveling and spending time with our family. In 2012, when my father became seriously ill, I chose to take him out of the hospital and provide him with private caregiving at my own expense. That experience reaffirmed my belief in the importance of personalized care and the positive impact it can have on quality of life.
As the Administrator of Executive Home Care, my mission is to treat every client like family. We are committed to providing exceptional care, promoting independence, and offering emotional support to both clients and their families. Our priority is to ensure safety, dignity, and well-being—especially through fall prevention and enabling clients to remain comfortable in their own homes.
I remain available to speak directly with clients and families at any time and make regular visits to personally check-in. It’s my promise to listen, support, and always bring a smile to those we serve.
