Cranberries are probably best known for preventing urinary tract infections. This is because of the high level of proanthocyanidins (PACs) help reduce the adhesion of certain bacteria to the urinary tract walls.

Studies are also showing that cranberries can help prevent cavities by inhibiting harmful acid production.
